New JAF ver 1.83 beta3

What's new:
- fixed crash when run ini on pp files (9500, ngage qd etc)
- fixed hang when flash id wrong (i hope )
- added options for autofaid in dct3 and dct4
- added selftests in bb5 fbus
- added user code management in bb5 fbus
- added product manager in bb5 fbus
- added factory reset in bb5 fbus (need to put the phone manualy in test mode first)
- added phone mode change in bb5 fbus
- other improvements and bug fixes
New feature in dct4 tab is MMC reset.
You need a special cable. So if you have a locked mmc with pass now you can unlock it with jaf. Just plug in the mmc in adaptor and press MMC Rst button.
For cables ask your reseller.

Сегодня утром Raskal говорил, что эти адаптеры (и ещё к двум моделям Nokia) уже пошли в продажу.
3 new cables for JAF now (N70, N90 and MMC cable)
Будем ждать, когда они появятся у реселлеров в наших краях.
Узнавал - например, сегодня на территорию Украины это пока ещё никем не было ввезено.

Верно, в какой-то мере. На то они и бета-версии.
Но и функции новые почти в каждой новой версии появляются, и это очень хорошо.
Бокс не без недостатков, но в целом мне эта коробочка очень нравится, и то, для чего я её покупал, она делает прекрасно. И потенциал нераскрытый у неё явно есть, о чём и свидетельствует бурное развитие.

The login procedure to JAF support area has been changed. To aces the support area, you don’t need any more login and password, in fact you need only your JAF box to be connected with your pc. It is more convenient, no need remember login and password any more, all is very easy, just press one button and the browser will open the support area directly.
For more informations, please download and read the PDF with the new login procedure. If you find a bug or have a suggestion, please post here.
For the ones have problem with login, please download the warranty form, fill it and send it to

- fixed reset phone after flash. Now you can flash cnt or ppm even after flashing mcu the phone is still dead. This will help with reported problems on 3220 and 6020.

- modified patch for RH-19. now supports mcuid 0x2142
New JAF ver 1.84 beta4:
- added beeps after flash
- fixed bug with logfile when file is missing and option is enabled
- added mcuid skip option in dct4 flash. This option will permit to flash a file even jaf reports that is not supported. Read the warning before.
- fixed RUN INI bug. Files reported in settings file are missing causing JAF to crash.
- added MM format flag. This will solve formating twice causing erasing of gallery in 7280, 6230i etc.
- added busy state when wait for phone to boot.

Решил я тут обновить свой бокс новой прошивой.. Установил прогу JAF ver 1.84 beta6.

Всегда есть доля риска при апдейте, мрут же не только джафы, а и гриффины, и мульти-боксы, и смарт-клипы у людей. И плохая связь и сбои часто тому причина.
Я, поэтому, по мере возможности, стараюсь выполнять такие процедуры поздно ночью, когда и сервер, с которого делается апдейт, обычно менее загружен, и канал, которым я пользуюсь, тоже меньше забит. Ко всему прочему, ночью на линиях передачи всегда меньше индустриальных наводок и шумов.
Установил прогу JAF ver 1.84 beta6
Теперь важный вопрос: ты перед установкой этого экзешника какой версии полный комплект устанавливал? Если это был не релиз JAFSetup_v183.exe, то я не удивлён такими последствиями.
Кроме того, перед установкой полного комплекта новой версии, следует снести всё, что там было установлено ранее!
И на момент апдейта я традиционно глушу файерволл и антивири.

- modified support logon. You must register the box before accessing support. This limits the posibility of using a not sold box to access support area.
- fixed bug with flash id 0x000000 in dct3. now stoping the flash procedure.
- fixed bug in BT flash for DCT4. Now no more problems with 8910i BT and other phones
- improved unlock for DCT4. Phones like 1600, 1110 and 1101 are supported for lock/unlock. If you have more problems unlocking this phones please report.
- NAI file is handled corectly when flashing.
- LOCAL mode improved for DCT4 and BB5 fbus mode.
- improved CNT pack extraction. This solve the 7260 problem with stoping at cnt.
- erasing flash improved for DCT4 when flash.

We have today new updates for JAF.
1. New flash chip problem solved. Now you can flash the CNT to any of the 3220, 7260, 6020 etc without any problems.
2. CDMA support is started with this version. First we add NFP load. You can load directly NFP pack and JAF will auto select the files inside (nep, llp and cnt). ESN reading instead of imei is also added. We will extend the support of cdma soon as i get more familiar with this phones
3. DCT4 asic 3 is added for unlock, for phones like 8800.
4. Improved after flash for wd2 phones. i hope this will solve MCU Ver failed.
5. DCT4 content pack extraction have more info in process.
6. BB5 fbus mode is selected default.
7. Easy flash cable support is added. If you have this cable check the box in software.
8. Speed of flash writing is improved by almoust 80% on some phones (dct4 and bb5) so you can test and see the difference
9. new loaders supported and available in this setup.
10. Jaf logger was added in setup.
11. small bugs were solved
If you have some problems please post them in forum.

В принципе, иногда такое явление имеет место - возможно, это врЕменная проблема у них на сервере. Возможно, связанная со слишком большим количеством пользователей, одновременно подключившихся и желающих проапдейтить свои боксы. Следует пробовать логиниться время от времени.
Только что проверил, кстати, - работает всё, и вот лог апдейта:

Imei patches for 7250i and 6610i are updated to support also SW_Validity_Type Contact Service problem. So you have this problem just patch the imei and you will have this solved. Also you can upgrade a 7250 or 6610 with this patch.

- added STOP button for some functions like booting, erase, write. If you find some problems in other operations please post. Also when you press stop you must wait for the last operation to finish.
- added more flash info. Now you can have erase addresses for each flash chip.
- added more phone info Now you have full info about the phone. Very usefull in repair.
- added save PM field 208 as rpl when flash so you can restore the phone imei is something goes wrong. This is not working is manual flash mode.

- changed default status of RPL 208 option, now disabled
- added PM save dialog when reading in DCT4, BB5 (fbus, usb)
- added save dialog when reading flash in DCT4
- added skip erase option in DCT4 ( will skip all areas in all files ) more complex options for skip erase will follow in next updates.
- added skip AFP (after flash process is skiped in DCT4)
- added progress bar background colour when you erase and write (DCT4,BB5,DCT3, DCTL)
- changed main window sizes to fit on 800x600 resolutions.
- rewritten erase flash for DCT4 from scratch. Now you have improved erase options. You also have option to full erase phone. Be very carefull with erase, you can damage your phone or destroy the imei. Imei is saved as rpl if the phone is alive. You have warning messages anyway.

-added FieldTestDisplay option when flash dct4/tiku. This will enable NetMonitor.
-added more info about product folders when USE INI. It will help you debug ini path
-added Prod Dir button in DCT4. This will allow you to change product folder path for dct4 in case you have installed flash packs in other folder than default.

Я ещё не пробовал, но принцип такой: перед прошивкой телефона ставишь флаг "FTD ON", шьёшь телефон, и если для данной модели и для данной версии фирмваре это возможно, то раздел нетмонитора появится в меню после прошивки.
Без проливки MCU ничего не появится, 100%.

есть он в меню, но вот на команды тсандартного нет монитора не отзывается :(

А описание ты стянул? У монитора для DCT-4 есть много отличий от привычного для DCT-3.

-added skip erase for bb5 fbus
-added Make INI option for DCT4. Flash files and flash settings are saved and auto loaded if availvable when you read info. To clear values in ini just don't select anything and press make INI or simply delete ini from JAF folder.
-fixed 7260 flash with 128k page

Included in setup nokia conectivity drivers. For win2k and winxp when you connect usb phones will pick drivers automaticaly.

New version of JAF is ready 1.94 beta4
- added DEAD USB mode in bb5 usb flashing. In this way you can use manual flashing and USE INI to select files manualy for live flashing also.
- added full info on BB5 usb mode
- improved bb5 usb flashing.
- increased battery value for flashing. Now must be higher than 3.9V
- added usb communication for DCT4. Now you have few operations but very usefull, READ/WRITE PM, FULL INFO, UNLOCK, PHONE MODE. This will make very easy to unlock, backup phone pm, reading unlock codes. More functions will be added for usb in next versions.
Remember to put your phone in testmode or localmode before unlock for DCT4 usb mode. Tested on 6111, 6230, 6230i. It should work on any phone that suport usb connection.

- added language description ini file support. When you select ppm in dct4/bb5 a small list in open dialog will show what language is has selected ppm file. This languages are in jaf_nok4models.ini, so you can add yourself missing models. Also when you select USE INI it will show you the languages present in ppm file. Thx to Mainboard for starting this language description.

This is a quick fix for DCT4 unlock codes generation problem with pkey.

- add FILE SYSTEM FORMAT in dct4, bb5 fbus and usb mode. Old user area format and drive format are removed beeing replaced by new function. So to format the phone select File Sys Format from service menu. It will autodetect file system and prompt you to select drives and density when available. On N91 don't format DRIVE E: bcs it's harddrive from phone and takes 30 mins to format, so better to format using phone menu and charger.
- added timeout on usb communication. If there is a problem with usb software should not hang.
- added language info on ape variant on dct4 ape phones (9500 etc...)
- added normal mode transition for dct4 ape phones to set test mode.
- added language window hack to display languages from ini file when selecting ape variant files, cnt files and user files for dct4 fbus mode.
- added last modified jaf_nok4models.ini (thx to ahmedksal and mainboard)

Finaly new jaf version is ready, 1.97 beta1.
- added LCK option in bb5 flashing. This will autosave, if checked, the lock data from pm. If something goes wrong in flashing and phone will lock itself you can restore the lock data by writing pm back
- added 128k page flash chip support on usb flashing (6280, 6233 etc). Remember to use version 3.81 or higher to flash 6280 with AMD chips.
- improved usb communication. This will affect all bb5 and ape usb flashing.
- Improved File Sys detection. Now all should be ok. If still have problems please post.
- corrected 7710 ape usb flashing. It was due too short timeout on usb.
- added OMAP mcu check when flash phones with bad ape mcu. Flash will not start, saving the phone from erasing then error on write.
- added more error messages to improve hw error detection more easy
- and the SMALL SURPRISE: JAF NOW SUPPORTS UFS INTERFACE AS FLASHING INTERFACE. DCT4 and BB5 (5 or 7 pins cable) are fully supported for now. Soon more will follow. This is a beta stage. We are waiting for your feedback.

- rewritten DCT4 asic 2 imei patch routine. Now you can patch any dct4 asic 2 gsm phone without patch files. ESN NOT SUPPORTED YET. Hopefully in next days. Also some new versions of phones can be patched but no working signal, we work on that also. PHONES MUST HAVE WORKING IMEI BEFORE PATCH.
Some quick instructions:
1. Press imei patch. Enter new imei.
2. Select mcu file for that phone type and version.

Also If you build your own fbus cable put 68k b/w bsi-gnd and 7.5k in serial with bsi line.
For USB flashing ONLY LIVE USB FLASHING IS POSSIBLE. When you flash by usb after flash phone takes long time to reboot. Even you have phone not found message but on phone display you have test mode then all is ok. Just reconnect phones battery and check the phone.

Каждый сам выбирает какой бокс он осилит. Если по мне то я пользуюсь ХВК и досих пор не уложил ниодного тела из линейки ББ5.
Хотя есть PBB JAF MT-box.

2610 PM read, 6020 flashing, 6170 flashing - полет нормальный, как и просили все снес и по новой поставил, в начале ругнулся на карту(типа нет), вытыкнул/воткнул/запустил...
Всем всего....
Ничего не сносил, поставил поверх.
6230i, 6600, 6681, 6233 flash, R/W PM, дефолты, полет нормальный.

Установил 198-2 после того как снес 198-1, полет нормальный. Заметил, что после переустановки, дрова устанавливались поновой. Скорей всего анинстал и инстал нужно делать без включенного джафа и пикей.

скачал релиз,запустил ехе ,прога открывается сразу без инсталяции в программ файлс (не создавая папки одеон),странно вопрос тогда как и откуда он берет фиа и ини файлы при работе с bb5 телефонами(дку2)?...или все заключено в ехе файле,у меня нет коробки джафа,только пикей есть.

- added SX4 authorization for PM using local SX4 card or server.
- added certificate backup as automatic operation when flashing bb5 in fbus mode
- fixed some minor bugs.
Now about ask, rpl:
With jaf you can generate original encrypted files and write original encrypted rpls. In jaf.ini you have a option to set dongle sn for ask generation. Hopefully next week a rpl service for bb5 will be available for jaf users. More news about this when time comes.
About certificates backup:
JAF saves both NPC and VARIANT certificate as RPL file.
So in worst case scenario if something wrong happend with flashing and you have both imei and simlock data lost, you can restore your phone with pm and rpl file saved.
Quick tutorial to fully restore (IF YOU HAVE THE BACKUP RPL AND PM):
1. Erase the phone with erase files
2. Full flash the phone with latest version. After flash imei should be 123456...
3. Write lockdata PM file (important to be written first)
4. Write RPL backup file as plain rpl (in this moment the phone should have imei restored and simlock data ok, but have contact service or contact retailer)
5. Make SX4 auth
6. Write good pm from same phone type WITHOUT FIELD 308
