MTB_nk version 1.07 release notes:
1100,2300 bugfix to erase correctly phone .
FIA loader, search bugfix.
Interface changes:
* Show erase progress where available.
For BB5 erase progress is not available so now shown.
We could show you some dummy progress bar, but this will not be correct.
DCT4 - progress is avaiable for majority of models.
WD2 - progress not available for most of models, because the new fast algorithms
for erase have no progress indication. If you want to see progress,
DisableVPP and enjoy slow erase with progress as with the other flashers on the market.
TIKU - for most models progress is avaible.
* Show Algorithm loaders that are sent to phone.
* Abort flashing procedure if some of the selected files can't be opened.

13.Automatically remember last used folder for RPL, and then automatically go to it when searching for RPL or making RPL from field208.

Release Notes on Verson 1.11:
BugFixes:
*Dct3 flashing.
*Dct3flashing Eerpom only.
*Reset of phone afetr setting full factory set.
Note: if FAID communication fails, you can uncheck the flash files, and press flash again
( with phone ON), MTB_Nk will execute only post flash serial communication (including FAID).
DCT4: automatic select of content file for RH-59.
Tip for reparing RH-59, that doesn't power. Do a full erase (01000000-01ffffff) , and then flash phone.
If it was SW problem, this will repair it.
Improvements: some improvements on serial communication, so now communication should be faster.
New features in this version:
* Net Monitor activation, deactivation for DCT4 and TIKU phones. You need to flash phone in order to do that.
NOTE: BEFORE USING THIS VERSION, PLEASE USE "MT Toool.exe" TO UPDATE YOUR BOX. Latest version of MT Tool.exe is
published along with Mtb_nk version 1.11.
* Skip Erase: flash phone, but skip erase procedures. This is usefull for repairing phones with damaged flash chips.
* ResetUserCode button: in expanded view of application. Use this to reset user code to 12345. Note on some phones,
this is not possible, use Full Factory Set on those models.
* Sim Lock State: button to allow you read the simlock state of connected phone. Application will ask phone and display
detailed information of to what operator and with what options the phone is locked.
* Lock SIM: allows you to browse for SIM file, and use it to lock phone. This is the most correct way tolock a phone.
Operators will use the same SIM files to lock phones. Note: if in the product folder there is no SIM file for the operator you want,
use can modify othe SIM file. The format of the SIM files is simple and fairly easy to understand.

*Faid counter wasn't displayed correctly. Should be OK now.
*Erase while flashing. Now erase is added only to the first file flashed.
Tips:
To erase NAND flashes, use “low level format”.
7650 need to be flashed with “Slow DCT4” mode.
On 1100 'Reset User Code' doesn't work, use “Factory Default Settings” it resets to 12345

Newbies:
1. If clicked on GRIFFINTEAM banner should open www.griffinteam.net
2. If clicked on MT-BOX banner should open www.mt-box.org, and read pin status
3. If you press ENTER while in EXE should search for the Nokia model entered in MODELS COMBO
explanation: untill now to search for example for 1100 you had to:
click on model, type 1100 and press UP or DOWN arrow
now you can press UP, DOWN or ENTER and exe will search for 1100 ( many users try to search by pressing ENTER)
4. Added fixed folder for AUTOSAVED RPLs from field 208.
5. Now if users manually browsed for files for some model, MTB_NK will remember the selected files, instead of Product code. Next time this model is selected, MTB_NK will automatically load either previous Product code, or Last FILES that were manually selected. NOTE: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO FLASH PHONES BY SELECTING ProductCode. By doing this you will also select proper files for tunning the phone after flashing it.
6. Support for lattest FIA package ( 3.35), not compatible with previouse packages, so it should be used with 3.35 or later.

Whats new?
* VPP use for BB5 phones. This version will use VPP when flashing BB5 phones.
On 6270 this will improve flashing time with around 1 minute.
Note: since some of JAF/UFS... cables on the market has wrong VPP connection in the cable,
using VPP could cause fail in flashing operation. To protect clients this setup will disable
use of VPP (DisableVPP) by default, if you wish to use VPP, uncheck DisableVPP. If you experience
problems when flashing with VPP, then most probably your cable has wrong VPP.
* Online news checking. Download latest news for software updates, and new release from griffinteam.
Uses HTTP connection. News is shown in new tab in exe. You could disable the option if you don't like it.
Double click on news open the associated link.
Single click shows description of the news.
Automatic Check : Exe will check for news ever time it is started.
Check for news Now: download and display news now.

MTB_NK release 1.19
New Features: Warranty Information edit. We have added new panel to the EXTRAS list. It will let you edit the warranty information of Nokia phones.
Added version information for new BB5 phones. The version is shown before ProductCode in Pcode combo box. This is releated to 6270, 6280, 7370.... and similar models
Bugfixes:
Increased wait time for full factory set , so old WD2 phones succeed in After flash Procedures.
Fixed phone flashing for 3250.
NOTE: - there is some problem with FlashLoadesr 6.05.003, so don't use those, use the ones provided with version 1.18 ( 5.51.007).
for 3250 flashing, it is strongly recommened to use VPP ( will improve flashing time with 4 minutes and 30 secondes). Note that some of the cables on the marked could have VPP , so take care to correct it before you use it.
See 3250 pinout for more details.
3250 has ContentFlash, but the content doesn't need to be extracted, so we have addeed another 'Automatic Action while flashing.' it is “Skip CP Extract”.
Check it when flashing 3250 in order to save time.

Bug fixes:
Ask read for Asic 7 dct4 phones. Note that for this type IMEI is not read from UEM so you have to enter IMEI value manually.
Notes:
(n1) for BB5 PageSize for content is retrieved in FBUS mode... so if flashing only content, make sure phone is powered ON before you press flash.
(n2) To automatically LogIn the torrent server, double click on one of the files listed in 'Online news update'.Box will open WebBrowser and authorize automatically. No need to enter user name and pass.
(n3) Because products list is very long and it is hard to search, we've added Text search option. Type in the text that is contained in product description and press enter. For example if you want to select product code '0522840 - QB EURO-K DARK BROWN RUSSIA' you can type 0500840 and press Enter. Or type 'russia' and press enter.
(n4) To be able to use auto power in LOCAL MODE BB5 phones BSI resistor must be changed. Change resistor from 3.3K to 5.1K.With old cables which have 3.3K phone will power in Normal mode.

MTB_NK 1.21 Released.
New in this version:
-Revised algorithm for flashing BB5 phones with ( rap3 + ape processors).
-Flashing time is significantly improved.
-All BB5 phones currently on market are fully supported ( with latest FIA 6.14.010).
-Changed post flash procedure so FullFactory Set is executed faster on phones like 6270/6280.
-Added information for erase while flashing BB5 phones.
-Added Recognition whether VPP pin is connected correctly to phone. ( see note 1, for more information. )
Notes:
VPP pin recognition: You need to do a small modification on your 8to10 pin converter.
See 'VPP_PIN_RECOGN.pdf' for details on the modification.
After that when using 8pin cables MTBox will be able to measure the voltage on VPP pin. So when you press 'Phone Info' and the phone is connected through the converter MTBox will measure and try to detect if VPP is connected to correct pin. If it's not, WARNING text will be displayed and VPP will be automatically disabled. Vpp is also measured while flashing. To see current reading of VPP pin use ( boot information button ).

* scan products substantially faster.
* support product profile tunning ( ProductProfile in 'Automatic actions')
* added “Force ContentConvertion to 128” ( in AutomaticActions) - for faster repair of damaged 6280 phones for example.

Bugfixed reading of large PM files - filed larger then 4K. Such as 134:01
New Features:
Added support for USB flashing of 'Single ASIC BB5' phones. Tested successfully on 3250, 6131/6133,6270, 6234. Known not to work on 6280( we think it is nokia bug).
How to flash over USB: In the top-right section of MTB_NK interface, next to PhoneMode combo, is a button saying USB. When this button is in down position, MTB will use the USB cable to communicate to phones (serial), and flash them.
MTB supports both DeadPhoneFlashing( USB_BOOT_ROM) and ADL flashing. If conversion to 128K page size is needed MTB will do it automatically.
Warning: if flashing fails, or you downgrade phone, it is very likely that you will not be able to repair phone with USB flashing. You will need to flash it over FBUS.

К примеру 6151 (RM-200) новый софт не понимает. А их уже валом! Я понимаю, что Phoenix - это cool. Но хочется и поддержки софтом бокса.

Приятно радует постоянное улучшение логгерной части для Нокий. В последней версии пароль вводится не в виде звездочек, а текстом. Ошибки исключены. Также можно отдельно проверять количество оставшихся логов. :appl:

In effort to provide better service for BB5 phones, we've implemented Backup/Restore for
Imei certificates of BB5 phones. Added 4 button in 'IMEI/ESN Repair' page:
Read Ask BB5 – use this to read ask for IMEI calculation for BB5 phone (gt format.... more
info on this next year).
Write RPL BB5 – to write Nokia RPL file for BB5 phone ( IMEI, SIMLOCK and SUPERDONGLE
DATA).
Read IMEI Backup – make a backup of the IMEI data of a BB5 phone (*.r3c files).
Write IMEI Backup – to restore a previously backed up IMEI (*.r3c) of BB5 phone.
In addition, there is option in 'Automatic Actions', so MT automatically makes IMEI backup
of BB5 phones, while you flash them.... This means if you flash a phone... you will be
able to fully support it in future.
Read ask and Write RPL are intended to be used to repair BB5 phones that for some reason
destroyed IMEI or SIMLOCK data, or you needed to replace the flash IC.

BB5 RPL Write – added 20seconds delay between certificate write, and serial sending of simlock and SuperDongle data. NOTE – in order for simlock sending to

In case that phone has some problem with powering on in LocalMode, connect phone, manually power it on in LocalMode, and then choose write RPL Again, MT will
detect that Phone has valid Imei, and offer choice to skip certificate sending and do the serial sending only.

BB5 ASKs created with MTBox can be computed through GTServer. For more information see the release notes of GTSAccess 1.34 .
Added SX4 Authorization for PMM write on BB5 phones. BB5 phones have protection for writing RF(1 ) and Energy(309, 0x135 in hex) settings in eeprom. NOT
HAVING THOSE SETTINGS IN PHONE, IS KNOWN AS 'CONTACT RETAILER PROBLEM', OR 'SECURITY ERROR' IN SELF TEST. In order to write those settings phone requires an
authorization that only SX4 smart card can perform. As those cards are hard to get, we've added server support for this authorization. To authorize, connect
BB5 phone, and power it on. Press SX4 button ( located in Eeprom control page). If you have SX4 card connected to PC, MT will use it to compute the
authorization password and send it to phone. If you don't have card, MT will connect to server to compute authorization password. In order to connect to
server, you must have 'saved' valid account information for GT Server, and the account must have at least 1 credit left. The computation is FREE, your
account will not be charged. Because the authorization procedure must complete in very short time, if you have bad internet connection, you may have to try a
few times, before it is successful. Onece you've authorized phone, you may write PM settings to phone. If phone is restarted, you need to authorize again.
To restore PM of phone, after eeprom is eerased:
1.Connect phone.
2.Make sure it has serial communication ( recommend to see it responds to phone info in local mode).
3.Load the PM file ( load file, in Eeprom controls page).
4.Mark Section( resource) 308 (0x134) and press Write Selected.
5.Restart phone. Either disconnect and reconnect phone to MT, or change mode to Test.
6.Press SX4 button, and wait for it to display that authorization was successful.
7.Press Write All button.
If no error are report, then you've successful restored the PM of the phone.
With the support for PM authorization we've ensured that our clients are able to actually service BB5 phones. Now you can make complete backup of IMEI and
EEProm, change flash and restore IMEI and Eeprom with no additional charge for you.
WARNING: many of you will try to downgrade phones, by erasing the Eeprom and then restoring after phone is flashed with lower version. There is significant
risk, that phone will not accept simlock data ( 308, in hex 0x134) from higher version. So you still risk to end with damaged phone. That is why we recommend
to avoid downgrading. If this happens you have two options: restore phone back to high version, and then write PM, or compute RPL and write RPL to phone. So
if you really need to downgrade some BB5, you may have to compute RPL for it!
For those who wish to make full erase of BB5 phones, we've created 4 files.
BB5Erase_8MBrap.bin – fully erase first 8MB of RAP3 flash.
BB5Erase_16MBrap.bin - fully erase first 16MB of RAP3 flash.
BB5Erase_EE_8MBrap.bin – erase only eeprom located at the end of 8th MB
BB5Erase_EE_16MBrap.bin – erase only eeprom located at the end of first 16th MB.

Problem is also 10 to 8 pin adapter cable connectors have very poor contact of GND and this come a big problem.
(we already start producing new type adapter cable)
Some times is need to push hard RG45 to adapter to be able to have any communication.
So if you not see this:

Since other flashers started releasing patch solutions for unlocking DCT4 and BB5:
Under 'Lock SIM' button, we've added new button 'PatchSIM'.
Use it to unlock DCT4 phones, using the RSA protection.
How to:
1. Select MCU file to be the same as the file flashed to phone.
2. Press 'Patch SIM' – it will locate where to patch, and generate patch.
Then MT will flash the patch file. Send Unlock command. Flash original file, so phone is restored to normal.
Supported models: - all that we have tested on – 2610, 2310, 1112, 1110i and corresponding American models.
P.S. We don't like destroying good business by releasing free solutions, but since others decided to do it, we have to release it.
We've tried to make it as easy as possible to use.

- New button 'BB5 Downgrade' – Button is located in the right-bottom corner of the application. It destroys the version control field, as described by Dejan.
How to use it:
Select flash files for the version you wish to flash the phone to.
Press 'BB5 Downgrade'.
Application will erase field, and flash phone.
No additional actions needed.
Tested on 6131, 6280.
We recommend that you backup the security field before that (0x134:1).
- Extended information, when bootinfo fails for BB5 phone. This should help diagnose what is wrong with BB5 phones.
- Improved Certificate Backup/Restore.
- Improved RPL writing for BB5 phones.
- Extended information on what certificates are read/written to phone.
- Added check whether EXE is used with correct installation. Some users copy exes to very old installations, and then have problems using the program. So this exe checks griffin.ini to see if the latest installation was used.
To hack the check, open griffin.ini, and make under '[interface_options]' write
'installation=mtb_nk_setup1_29_5.exe'. This hack is needed if you insist on NOT using the installations we publish.

- Исправлена ошибка, возникавшая при флешировании модели N95 через USB-кабель.
- Добавлена функция генерации кодов для разблокировки старых моделей платформы BB5 (кнопка DJ_BB5).
- Добавлена возможность флеширования модели N95 при помощи кабеля FBUS.
- В раздел "Use Automatic Actions" добавлена новая опция "UseTx2Line" :
Данная опция позволяет прошить модель N95 через FBUS интерфейс с использованием загрузчиков новых версий (версия 7.х от Nokia).
Но для передачи данных через TX2 требуется произвести некоторую модификацию кабеля, а именно, соединить PIN2 со стороны десятипинового RJ45 с RX2 в телефоне.
В случае, если используется старый кабель т.е не модифицированный, то для прошивки необходимо отключить данную опцию. При этом программа будет использовать загрузчики старых версий (6.50)
В комплекте с оболочкой версии 1.33 новый phoenix.ini.
- пофиксили баг с прошивкой 6290 по USB.
Все должно работать.

Битый лоадер в инсталляционном пакете 1,53. Без замены лоадера на этот (http://gsmteampro.com/images/gsm_webbland_se/files/Flash.zip) не шилась через F-Bus n81-3 (RM-223) (без TX2 висела после стирания, с TX2 не проходил второй загрузчик и зависала программа) предполагаю глюк будет и в других с rapido. Версия ПО mt-box 1,53.

in download area you can find rar (\Nokia\Software\ ): Flash_before_N96.rar
This is old flash loaders the new one not working because Nokia changed fbus format communication.
extract file in directory C:\Program Files\GriffinTeam\MT-Box\FlashLoaders
they will create Folder: Flash_before_N96
if you Flash N96 phone you can use this settings in griffin.ini

Сорока принесла на хвосте новость о том, что совсем скоро команда GT начнет анлок Nokia Symbian телефонов по методу Dejan. Другими словами они договорились с автором реализовать его метод на своем железе. Ожидаемая цена разлока одного телефона - 20 евро.
PS: не может не радовать тот факт, что ранее враждовавшие комады начинают сотрудничать ради того, чтобы на разрушить перспективный рынок.

1- эта ошибка возникает когда вы используете update tool не в папке, куда установлен MTbox.
Решение: запускайте update tool в папке, куда установлен MTbox.
Например: C:\Program Files\GriffinTeam\MT-Box\MT Tool 3.7.exe
2- Некоторые фаерволлы и антивирусы блокируют загрузку griffin.ini файла. Отключите их и попробуйте снова.

BB5+ анлок без логов, без Internet соединения
Для того, чтобы разлачивать новые BB5+ телефоны, вам для это нужна новая активация MT-box. Она может быть произведена очень просто и быстро.
Если вы уже имеете аккаунт на сервере GT с 200 логами или более, вы можете активировать безлимитную активацию Nokia MT-Box для BB5+ без ТР.
Если у вас уже есть активация BB5 woTP, это вам будет стоить всего 100 кредитов (сервер сам определит есть ли у вас активация BB5 woTP или нет)
После активации, с вашего аккаунта на сервере будет списано нужное количество кредитов и MT-box будет готов для BB5+ анлока.
Процедура активации:
• Посетите http://www.gtibox.com/support/bb5plus.php
• Введите серийный номер вашего MT-box SN
• Введите логин вашего аккаунта GT server или MT PRO

Ответ: Нет, логии нужны только для активации вашего бокса для BB5+, сам анлок UNLIMITED.
Пользователь: я нажал кнопку Unlock, но анлок не произошел.
Ответ: Не используйте кнопку UNLOCK, нужно использовать кнопку DK SL2

ВНИМАНИЕ!
В файле phoenix.ini, который формируется после установки последних версий MT-Box, есть ошибка, в результате которой нарушается процедура загрузки файлов, необходимых для программирования конкретной модели телефона.
Пример. Подключаем RM-17 (Nokia 7260), зачитываем информацию с телефона, и в статусном окне появляется модель RM-178, и, соответственно, грузятся файлы для модели RM-178.
Даже если руками принудительно выбрать модель RM-17, то сразу после зачитывания информации из телефона, вновь подгружаются данные для RM-178!!!
Вот начало лога:

Уверен, что и с остальными моделями будет подобная ошибка.
Подсовывается то, у чего название совпало по первым цифрам.
Если не проверять, а работать привычным образом, можно крепко попасть.
Ошибка находится в phoenix.ini. Подставляю его от старых версий продукта - всё работает отлично, как положено!
Позже попробую выяснить, где именно ошибка в этом файле.
А пока будьте внимательны!!!

Поработал сегодня несколько часов и слепил правильный phoenix.ini, на котором отлично работает поиск и уже в помине нет ошибки, которую я описал выше. :)
Более того, вписал все известные на сегодня торговые названия моделей, которых там не было и ещё устранил некоторые ошибки, допущенные теми, кто создавал этот файл в GT. Надеюсь, это всем нам поможет работать эффективнее.
Распаковать файл из архива и положить в папку продукта, обычно это здесь:
c:\Program Files\GriffinTeam\MT-Box\
Здесь был вложен файл: phoenix.zip (5.3 Кб), но к сожалению был утерян. Если он у Вас есть, свяжитесь с администрацией для его восстановления. Спасибо.

2680s - это не BB5, а DCT4, но версия v56.17 не делается, так же появились 2630 MCU v.57.20 (RM-298) которые не разлачиваются.
В список "Базируемые на RAPS_V3.03-PA CPU" также можно добавить еще модели 5130 XpressMusic (RM-495) и 5130c XpressMusic (RM-496)
а разве N76 делается за кредиты?
Аналогичный софт от джафа делает во фри при условии активации
Ребята, эта тема вообще то для новостей, и обсуждение тут - не самое подходящее место, да и растянулась она, за сим эту ветку закрываю, модер раздела создаст рядом новую ветку Новости MT_box 1.
имхо это нужно было ещё с нового года сделать....скроллить долго.
